The Indian society is faced with a need to make unprecedented and historic change in a very short time. We have already embarked on a journey to become a self sustained and developed nation, but still a lot needs to be done to realize this dream. The burden to reach the zenith lies on the youth of today as well as the children who will be men tomorrow. Someone has rightly said – Children of today will be the torchbearers of tomorrow.

Though our nation has been a front runner in all the fields for past few decades, a holistic growth of every class of our society has still been a fleeting dream because of illiteracy amongst the underprivileged.

Every Indian dreams of a brighter and stronger India but a few of them take a step further towards realizing the INDIAN DREAM. One such Indian is Mr. Absar Shamsh Sohail, who through his conviction and determination brought into existence The Galaxy Youth Organization which saw the light of the day on the 15th of August 2001. The motive behind establishing this organization is to create awareness about the need of basic education among the underprivileged and to provide basic amenities and support for the schooling of their children.

Our History

Galaxy Youth Organization came into existence on 15th August 2001 as a social organization which intended to provide Free and Equal Education to ONE & ALL irrespective of one's socio-economic background. Over the years Galaxy Youth Organization has grown organically and realising the need, it was formally registered as a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) with Registration No.: 1197 under Act No. 21 of Year 1860 of The Societies' Registration Act, 1860 on 19th March 2010.

Galaxy Youth Organization was instituted by Mr. Absar Shamsh Sohail and his friend Late Mr. …………. Before giving it a formal shape and structure both the individuals had worked industriously and unselfishly coupled with firm determination to realise their dreams of changing lives in Their Little Way

In 2001, Galaxy Youth Organization started with 2 Teachers for Nursery and Std.1 enrolling 28 students (18 Girls&10 Boys) in a makeshift arrangement classroom.
